This diabetic diet meal plan includes 3 meals a day plus often a snack or side dish too. The diabetic diet plan is:
- Low calorie and contains only unprocessed, wholefoods to nourish your body.
- Likely to promote weight loss in both women and men, without being too hard to maintain.
- Low on carbs, and only contains healthy carbohydrates that are low GI.
- Moderate to high in fibre, to assist gut health, appetite control and weight loss.
- Low in fat, especially saturated fat.
- Low in sodium.
- High in micronutrients and antioxidants, including healthy fats that help decrease inflammation.
